Genital warts can be a sign you have HPV

I have recently heard from a doctor friend that nowadays, HPV is considered to be a real danger and so I asked what it was, she told me it was Human Papilloma Virus, a virus which causes Genital Warts in both male and female but the problem was that this was more prevalent in the women side and this usually is also a major cause of cervical cancer in women and this is quite an alarming news as cervical cancer is now almost next to breast cancer as one of the most common cancers to occur in the female demographic. She told me that at this time, women should be much more aware of this disease and as of the moment, there are drugs like Gardasil that are available early on which females can take but the problem is that it is expensive at the moment so not everybody is able to purchase this drug. If ever you already have wartsm then you can also use Aldara and some other drugs but the important thing for women I think is that awareness should be implemented that they should have regular check ups with their OB Gyn or doctors per se especially when they reach the age where they are sexually active in order to detect this problem early on and prevent any unwanted complication in the future. As in basketball, defense is the best offense they say, so it is the same here, better be sure to have yourself checked and take the necessary precautions to avoid contracting this disease and you will be safer from this disease in turn. HPV can be avoided and so is genital warts, but it is up to you if you will take the necessary measures to avoid contracting such conditions.
